Oree Livini
Camper – Camp Flying Point
The Flying Point Foundation for Autism
The very first year of Camp Flying Point,11-year-old, Oree Livni joined the program as a camper. Years later, Oree would become a camp counselor and became one of our most valued community members until he went off to college.
Despite his own challenges, Oree showed himself to be a leader among the campers and his unique gift of compassion was put to good use when he interacted with other campers who had challenges of their own. Speaking about his years at Camp, Oree wrote:
“The Flying Point Foundation for Autism’s summer camp helped me grow as an individual. Working with the kids there helped me work on my own issues, and the environment was just right for everyone to have fun. The kids there helped me develop into a leadership role that I still use to this day. Without a doubt, going to that summer camp was one of the best things that could have happened to me in those very crucial years of my early life.”
