Thursday, January 28, 2016 – the Bike to the Beach New York Team presented the Quest Autism Foundation, Inc. with a $18,500 donation check to help support their mission to change the future for all who struggle with autism.
Quest Autism Programs is a community-based day program for adults with autism, based at the Wyckoff YMCA in Bergen County, NJ. Participants follow individualized daily schedules that span the areas of: Activities of daily living skills, social skills, vocational opportunities, recreational and leisure skills, as well as maintaining relevant previously mastered skills. Quest Autism Foundation is one of Bike to the Beach’s local charity partners for our B2B NY Charity ride on June 10, 2016.
In addition to Quest, Bike to the Beach is supports local non-profit partners in New England, Florida, New York, Washington DC and Maryland. In 2015, we supported our local partners with close to $100,000 in donations to help them continue to do amazing work.
Bike to the Beach’s annual century-rides have raised over $3,000,000 and have empowered over 4,800 participants and volunteers to become actively engaged in the cause.
In 2016, Bike to the Beach will continue to expand our efforts to promote cycling for fun and fitness while seeking to raise money and awareness for autism.
