Brian Dunn
Adapted Physical Education Instructor
The Crossroads School
Brian Dunn is the Adapted Physical Education Instructor at Crossroads School in Marlborough. Every day he works with students to help improve their physical fitness and recreational activities.
The obesity rate for adults with disabilities is approximately 57% higher than for adults without disabilities, and the obesity rate for children with disabilities is approximately 38% higher than for children without disabilities. That’s why Brian’s role at Crossroads is so important. He helps students find fun and engaging ways of staying active and promotes a healthy lifestyle for years to come.
For the first time, Brian is hopping on his bike to support his school and his students for 100 miles. “I am so excited to be riding alongside coworkers, parents, and community members to raise awareness for autism,” says Brian. “For me, doing this race is not only a way to support my school, but it’s also another way I can teach my students about health and fitness.”
