Personal Essay from Evan Schwartz, young adult on the Autism Spectrum:
I greatly appreciate Supportabilities Foundation and my personal trainer/coach Dan. He has made a significant impact on my life so for that reason I want to tell you about my experiences.
Dan is originally from Kentucky but lives down here in South Flor ida now. He has been my trainer and has worked with me for more than a year and a half, coming to the gym at my condo three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). He works with me in weight training using dumbbells and the treadmill for cardio exercises . We do jumping jacks together along with lunges, dips, leg extensions and push-ups. Sometimes we run outside on a track near the Aventura Mall.
Dan challenges me a lot to work harder and exercise more and this all helps me greatly with focus and self-esteem. I usually feel very calm and tired after these workouts too. I want to let you know something that was really special too this year (2019).
In February of this year Dan and I participated in a 5K run on the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk. This was exciting for me and my first 5K race ever!
Thanks Supportabilities Foundation and Coach Dan!!
