Bike to the Beach’s New York Ride for Autism is more than a one day event; we are a community, a lifestyle, and a family. We are a community of socially conscious and focused individuals that do not shy away from personal challenges and seek out ways to help our communities.
We love how our community builds one event to the next. An example of this is how the TODAY SHOW joined us for our fall event to assist the homeless at Thanksgiving, and now there involvement is helping us kick off our 2017 year! Cranksgiving is our one day scavenger hunt food drive. Al Roker, Savannah Guthrie, and Peter Alexander joined us to ride around the city and collect items from local vendors to make a meal for a family in need. That day we collected over 150 meals. At the end of the day, the TODAY SHOW crew extended their generosity and donated their bikes to our cause and mission.
Bike to the Beach puts on 100-mile bike rides and encourages fun, fitness, and making an impact for autism in our everyday lives. To kick off our 2017 season, we are now able to raffle off Al Roker’s bike to a rider registered for our New York Ride for Autism that raises over $50. Our community grows, our events build on eachother, and because of Al Roker’s generosity, we will have a huge kick-off to our riding and fundraising season!
Let us know if you would like to get involved or are interested in our events!
